Designers believe that furniture is one of the most important aspects of an interior space. Pieces of furniture not only add function and practicality to a space, but they also add style and personality.
Furniture has evolved and changed with the times, some styles having remained somewhat constant throughout the years, while others drastically changed or became obsolete.
Today, creating new furniture styles is often seen as a type of industrial art form.
We at OBG design and creates different types of furniture. Each piece of furniture created must serve its purposes firstly being functional. It must also be practical, comfortable, and attractive.
Every new furniture design starts with a basic concept, or idea. creating a rough drawing of the idea sketching our designs on paper first, then on CAD to create a more intricate and detailed design, to include all aspects of a furniture design, including the piecing together and materials to be used. Most furniture is made from a combination of wood and metal. Some furniture, such as couches and chairs, will also usually be covered with materials like Fabric Leather or Silk, which should be soft and comfortable as well as attractive.
Once a furniture design is done we then usually create an original prototype of the piece.
Here our designers create furniture designs that are meant to be mass produced by large furniture manufacturers. OR we design by working closely with individuals to create custom pieces of furniture.

Personal Furnishings Furniture makes each space unique. Whether city living or a beach bungalow, your furnishings should be both functional and reflective of your personal style. This can be a tough balance to find, but the most important thing is to buy furniture that makes you happy. Consider comfort and quality, and try not to be intimidated by the large selections — confidence is key! Follow these tips to find the right furnishings
Keep an open mind about furniture arrangementsDepending on the space you’re furnishing, you will likely have multiple options in terms of size and shape. For example, if you’re looking for living room furniture, consider using a combination of love seats and chairs, instead of the big sectional sofa you were planning to replace. A set of nesting side tables can easily serve the same function as your current bulky coffee table. Get creative — draw a few sketches of possible arrangements and see where using smaller, bigger or multipurpose pieces might come in handy.
Invest in good-quality furniture that will lastMost of the items you purchase will experience daily wear and tear. It’s these pieces, such as chairs and couches that you’ll be tempted to skimp on quality for style. Be cautious — while you think you might absolutely need that trendy ottoman right this second, if it’s not well made, you will find yourself searching for a new one sooner than you might like. This can be an expensive habit. Take your time and make sure you're buying things made of a good-quality material, like solid wood furniture or leather upholstery, and made with good-quality craftsmanship, which means there is more than just glue and staples holding it together.
